SCOTTSDALE, AZ — (Marketwire) — 04/05/12 — Rural/Metro Corporation, a leading national provider of ambulance and private fire protection services, has been awarded the exclusive contract to continue providing fire protection and ambulance services to the Town of Carefree, Arizona. The new contract is for an initial 5-year term, followed by a 5-year renewal period thereafter, for a total possible length of 10 years.

Rural/Metro Fire Department began serving the citizens of Carefree under a subscription-based model in 1968. Since 2006, the Company has provided fire protection and EMS services under a community-wide master contract.
