Rudd as Regional Vice President, East Coast Sales, and Sandy Wetzel as Regional Vice President, West Coast Sales, effective immediately. The new sales additions will drive continued growth of Myxer-s social entertainment offerings, including its popular Internet Radio platform, Myxer Social Radio, which recently surpassed 350,000 users since launching in late November 2011.
With more than a decade of experience in advertising sales and sales management across numerous digital platforms, Rudd will oversee and manage advertising sales efforts for Myxer-s East Coast regions. A consumer sales and video game industry veteran, Rudd launched his career at Publicitas Globe Media and went on to a senior sales role at IGN Entertainment, where he managed a team of 23 and was instrumental in bringing the company to profitability during his tenure. Most recently, he has served in VP and SVP stints at Piczo.com, Socialmedia.com, Double Fusion and Real Network-s GameHouse division prior to joining Myxer.
In a similar role, Wetzel joins Myxer after serving as Director of West Coast Sales at USA TODAY Media Group. Prior to USA TODAY Media Group, Wetzel held several senior level digital and social media sales positions at DoubleClick, Gigya, and VH1.com. She began her career in high-tech marketing and media at Merisel, the second largest computer products distributor in the US (at the time). She also sold high-tech print early in her career where she helped launch online sales for Upside Magazine-s first website.
In addition to Rudd and Wetzel, Myxer also appointed Varvara Althouse as Director, West Coast Sales and Alvord R. Reese as Director of Sales, Midwest.
A veteran of digital, print and cross platform sales including gaming, consumer, entertainment and finance, Althouse began her career at Publicitas Globe Media before joining the fast paced digital space where she helped build up the business in the West Coast territory for IGN, CraveOnline and most recently Forbes.
A well-established sales executive with an emphasis on digital and new media, Reese has a proven track record in driving results for brands such as Disney, Southwest Airlines, Dollar Thrifty, Ford, GM, Chrysler, and Hewlett Packard from successful stints at Interactive One, AOL Networks, UrbanKind, and InfoSpace.
