MARKHAM, ONTARIO — (Marketwire) — 03/12/12 — VIQ Solutions Inc. (“VIQ”, “VIQ Solutions” or the “Corporation”) (TSX VENTURE: VQS) announced today that they have been awarded a contract for digital audio and video capture in Mexico with local reseller Dyntra, S.A de C.V. (“Dyntra”).
Under the contract, VIQ will provide Encompass RPC software to the federal courthouse in Merida in the Mexican state of Yucatan. The Encompass RPC software allows the court to record five high definition digital channels of synchronized video and audio as well as multiple audio-only channels. The VIQ software incorporates a customizable Spanish-language interface and allows for future expansion of the system. IP cameras and server hardware from Cisco Systems, Inc. will be used to facilitate the recording of the multiple channels of digital and audio and provide the back-end storage infrastructure.
Dyntra, VIQ-s authorized reseller in Mexico, will provide local implementation and support services. Dyntra is part of Grupo Lefic, a large-scale systems integrator involved in telecommunications and infrastructure projects across Mexico, including high-tech solutions for the security and justice markets.
“This contract is an important foothold for VIQ in the growing Mexican and Latin American markets,” said David Outhwaite, President and CEO of VIQ Solutions. “The project in Merida demonstrates that VIQ and our partners can provide a complete, sophisticated solution that meets the unique needs of the courts in these regions.”
