Northfield (Minnesota, US), December 15, 2008 – All Flex, manufacturer of flexible circuit technology, presented its portfolio of flexible circuits successfully at the international exhibitions electronica in Munich, Germany and COMPAMED in Düsseldorf, The product portfolio including flexible circuits that are single sided, double sided, and multilayer up to six layers was received with great interest by the numerous visitors at the All Flex’ booths. “It was the right decision to exhibit at these major European trade shows for the first time”, states Greg Closser, President of All Flex. “All Flex is very satisfied with the outcome of both trade fairs: At the exhibitions we had interesting discussions and established first links to visitors from all over the world, but especially from Western and Eastern Europe. Having gained an informative insight in the European market and its trends and singularities, I am sure that our products and services fulfil these needs and trends and will undoubtedly find a ready market in Europe.”
The privately owned enterprise, with headquarter and manufacturing site in Northfield, Minnesota (US), also showcased its new product highlight: flexible heater circuits. The flexible heaters are thin, lightweight and flexible substrates that can provide heat to selected areas of instrumentation, electronic systems, equipment, and a variety of other applications. Another unique product also attracted the visitors’ attention: Maxi- Flex®, custom designed copper flexible circuits in exceptionally long lengths with sizes from 16’’ to 40 feet or even longer.
Setting Trends in Medical Technology
At the exhibition for medical technology COMPAMED, All Flex was one of the 519 exhibitors presenting high tech for medical manufacturing. As the local organizer of the event announces, the stands of the exhibitors were very well attended: 15,000 visitors were particularly interested in the ranges exhibited at the leading international trade fair for components, parts and raw materials for medical manufacturing. In the field of materials there is a general trend towards focusing even more on plastics in medical device engineering. The polyimide material used in All Flex’ flexible circuits follows this trend: It is light weight and flexible, circuitry can be built conform to 3dimensional patterns. “Specializing on flexible circuitry All Flex meets the continuing trend in medical electronics to develop smaller and lighter medical devices while increasing the number of functions and decreasing costs”, states Dave Becker, Sales Director at All Flex. “The insight in the European market we gained at the exhibition showed us that this seems to be a worldwide development.”
