AUSTIN, TX — (Marketwire) — 03/12/12 — Hold-Free Networks, the leading provider of Web 2.0 Customer Service solutions, announced today at SXSW Interactive that it will publish a new report with Opus Research titled “The 10 Rules to Promote Conversational Commerce.”
The report joins a growing body of C2B (consumer-to-business) literature that addresses the new realities of an economy driven by empowered consumers. The paper asserts that the days of “corporate one-way communication” in which the enterprise could control the discourse are over. The analogy that best describes today-s conversational commerce is that of a town hall meeting in which the enterprise is just one of many voices in the room, state the authors.
“This was a fun, and timely, project to work on because the truth is that enterprises and their customers are still learning how to communicate with each other,” said Dan Miller, Senior Analyst at Opus Research. “A lot of people take conversational commerce to mean -social media.- But as we talk about in the paper, principles like being a good listener, earning trust, and showing respect for someone-s time have to translate across the different interaction channels.”
During SXSW, the report will be available exclusively to attendees of featured events. For example, during Miller-s panel scheduled for Monday, March 12th from 5:00-6:00 PM at the Hilton Austin Downtown, participants can tweet #sxsw to @holdfree to receive a complimentary preview of the report. There will also be designated opportunities throughout SXSW to scan a special QR Code to download the paper.
After SXSW Interactive concludes on March 18th, the report will be publicly available as a free download on the Opus Research website at or can be requested by visiting the Social CRM & Mobile Care channel on TMCnet.com.
“SXSW has officially become a must attend for those focused on C2B and emerging social enterprise engagement models,” said Joseph Katz, Chief Marketing Officer at Hold-Free Networks. “Where else could you get a keynote from Bruce Springsteen, sit in on a panel with Judd Apatow, and hear from a best-selling business author like Doc Searls? Hold-Free Networks is proud to bring a contribution of our own to this awesome event.”
