SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwire) — 03/06/12 — GLMPS, the company that allows you to share your life through video, one photo at a time, today introduced glmps 2.0, featuring an all-new user experience and integrations with Instagram, Foodspotting, Camera+, DropBox, Posterous, Mixi, and more. Since its launch in 2011, glmps has been downloaded more than 100,000 times, and has been featured in the Apple iTunes App Store. glmps is available for download in the App Store here: .
glmps is an iPhone app that blends video with photo, creating a magical new way to share life-s moments. More than a photo, and not quite a staged video, glmps allows you to “press play on your photos,” capturing moments with unprecedented and unparalleled richness. Once captured, moments are easily shared with one click via Facebook, Twitter, foursquare, and Tumblr, or via email, text message, etc. And with this release, sharing to other apps just got a whole lot bigger.
“We-re big fans of photo apps like Instagram and Camera+, and we wanted to make it easier for our users to share the moments of their lives out to more services from within the glmps app,” said Paul Robinett, founder and CEO, GLMPS. “Now we share directly to Instagram and Camera+, as well as Foodspotting, Dropbox, Evernote, and more. This means users now have the option to add a filter using their favorite services, or store photos taken from the glmps app in the cloud.”
glmps 2.0 also features several privacy enhancements based on early feedback from users who wanted more control over how and with whom they shared their favorite moments. Now, users can select “private” or “public” before uploading their glmpses. Other new features include the ability to edit or delete titles and comments, clickable hashtags for easier sorting, a grid view of nearby glmpses, content search, and clickable URLs in the title and comments.
“glmps lets users relive the moment, so in the spirit of time travel, this year at SXSW we-ll be rolling deep in the DeLorean from -Back to the Future,-” continued Robinett. “We-ll have the most iconic car of the 80s on site for attendees to check out and take a glmps with.” GLMPS will be appearing at a party with Foodspotting on Saturday, March 10, in Austin.
