Gütersloh/Leipzig, Germany, 02.03.2012 – arvato Systems has successfully completed the purchase of perdata Gesellschaft für Informationsverarbeitung mbH from Stadtwerke Leipzig following the approval of antitrust authorities. Its former owner will continue to remain a close partner even after the sale of the company.
The management board of perdata, currently comprised of Dr. Percy Dahm and Thomas Nautsch, will grow by one to now include Matthias Moeller, Managing Director of arvato systems Technologies GmbH, who will also become chairman of the board at perdata.
Dr. Percy Dahm and Thomas Nautsch are excited about the positive development and much stronger business prospects for perdata with this move. “The specific expertise of the two companies complements each other perfectly, with the expanded service portfolio opening up significant potential for further growth. The move has generally been extremely well received by our customers.”
As part of its acquisition of perdata, arvato Systems will establish a comprehensive center of IT excellence for the utilities industry. This will involve a major role for the city of Leipzig, where the company is based.
