Efficient lighting and economical operation: transformers with the unique corridorFUNCTION

At present, TridonicAtco is the only company that offers the corridorFUNCTION, the perfect solution for 24-hour lighting applications. Wherever light has to be provided 24 hours a day for statutory reasons and also in hotels, public buildings and hospitals for example, the corridorFUNCTION helps provide the right light, combined with energy-efficient and cost-effective operation. The corridorFUNCTION also offers additional security as the light does not abruptly go out. Instead the brightness level is slowly reduced.

Any room in which a particular level of light is either a requirement or a recommendation will benefit from TridonicAtco transformers with corridorFUNCTION. In conjunction with a standard motion sensor the transformers immediately fade the light up to the defined level as soon as anyone enters the room. If there is no one in the room the lighting level is reduced again, which also means that electricity consumption is reduced. In addition to the profile set at the factory, individual requirements with specific fade values or fade times can be set.

Long corridors and large areas such as stairwells can therefore be provided with energy-saving lighting. The light will be faded up only in the area in use while the rest remain at the preset minimum illuminance. When the last person leaves the facility, the light is also faded down to the minimum setting in this area.

The additional cost of installing the corridorFUNCTION is minimal. Additions costs are extremely modest because standard motion sensors can be used. And if we compare a lighting system incorporating the corridorFUNCTION with a non-dimmable system we find that the corridorFUNCTION system pays for itself in less than two years.

The new transformers with the corridorFUNCTION are compatible with all existing TridonicAtco products such as ECGs and are designed on the basis of proven technology. The TEone4all 105VA/150VA transformers are designed for all standard LV halogen lamps. They are DALI, DSI and SwitchDIM compatible and easy to install and operate.
