The presentation, session code HT1-204, will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Room 102.
On Tuesday, Blue Coat senior malware researchers, Dr. Jon Dinerstein and Dr. Tim van der Horst will present a detailed look at the process behind finding, mapping and tracking malnets (malware networks), the distributed infrastructures within the Internet that are built, managed and maintained by cybercriminals for the purpose of launching a variety of attacks against unsuspecting users over extended periods of time. Blue Coat Security Labs expects these infrastructures to deliver two-thirds of all attacks in 2012. “Tracking and Visualizing Malnets” will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Briefing Center Booth 2011 on the exhibit floor. This session is open to all RSA attendees.
In addition to the conference presentations, Blue Coat will provide free educational sessions in its booth throughout the conference. These short sessions will address the latest security trends, threats and best practices. Topics include:
Understanding malnet infrastructures
Mitigating data losses from social networking
Advance Persistent Threats (APTs)
