Berlin, 01/27/2012 – The new service for real-time communication starts and it counts 1,000 registered companies and organizations. The 1,000th newly created network on swabr was set by a High School from Chicago.
The Internet company swabr GmbH specializes in cloud computing and software-as-a-service and has recently launched its free enterprise microblogging service in the public version. On swabr – a German term for “bulletin board 2.0” is – companies as well as schools, associations and organizations can create free networks for internal communications. Since its launch, 1,000 networks were created on swabr already, including the largest network of currently 76 members.
The user numbers are steadily increasing, users come from over 70 countries. The top three countries are Germany, USA and Turkey. 82 percent of worldwide users come from Europe. Other indicators are showing a healthy growth of the platform, such as the average usage time (6:32 minutes per user) and the frequency of actions from recurring users (a total of more than 36,000 actions so far).
“We are delighted by the successful launch of swabr, but won´t lean back”, said founder and CEO Ugur Tarlig. “Quite contrary: We are constantly working on our service. Our motivation is to develop the simplest and most intuitive tool for real-time communication.” A sort of “Facebook for companies”.
