Capitol Communicator Declares 2012 as CCYEAR

FALLS CHURCH, VA — (Marketwire) — 01/19/12 — Because communication-related events have morphed into week-long activities in many instances and because Capitol Communicator covers and promotes many of these events and much more throughout the year, dubbed 2012 as CCYEAR. CCYEAR refers to the communications industry taking notice that Capitol Communicator is the place to go for news of weekly events such as Adweek DC and Baltimore, Social Media Week DC and Design Week.

Capitol Communicator has produced a humorous touting its coverage of these real events as well as dubious gatherings including Ethics in Politics, the American Association of Demonstrators for Hire and the I Had A Relationship With A Famous Person Week. The video, directed by Greg Berger, features Mason Harris and Steve Stern (a Steve Carell impersonator) on the faux CC Network.

“It used to be that industry conferences were two-day events at most, but communication is now a 24/7 activity for many organizations so there is a lot more material to cover,” says co-founder Paul Duning. “We thought we would have some fun with all the great weekly and daily events we promote plus since 2012 is suppose to be the last year before the end of the world, we did not want to miss out on the opportunity of declaring .”

Capitol Communicator is the hub for Greater Washington-s communications industry with 50,000 unique visitors each year. The online resource attracts professionals in the media, marketing, advertising, PR, multimedia and related disciplines by giving them an online platform for interaction, news, job listings, and educational and networking events that helps them succeed.
