Starnberg (Germany) October 2, 2008 – The first MOST® Forum took place in Stuttgart on September 30, 2008: In the Liederhalle Cultural Congress Center in Stuttgart (Germany) over 140 attendees came together to learn about the latest applications and future trends of MOST infotainment technology. “We are very pleased with the broad International audience of MOST Cooperation members and non-members coming from Asia, Europe and the United States”, states Dr. Wolfgang Bott, Technical Coordinator of the MOST Cooperation. “The attending professionals from the automotive electronics industry benefit from very interesting technical presentations and motivating discussions on results of recent work and highlights concerning systems, circuits, technologies, processes and applications.”
The broad audience included researchers, designers, engineers, system developers, as well as purchasers, journalists, and managers of the industries involved. The attendees actively listened to the technical presentations illuminating a wide range of MOST related topics as MOST applications, experiences and technologies concerning networking and system architecture, physical layer, compliance and quality aspects, series projects experience, MOST and other standards as well as MOST in research and development.
The exhibition area was well-attended. Innovative companies presented their MOST solutions and applications. Amongst the exhibitors were the MOST Cooperation (presenting the MOST150 multimedia demo), AUDI AG, Avago Technologies, BMW Group, Comlet, Dension Audio Systems, GADV, K2L, LeCroy, MBtech, Ruetz System Solutions, SMSC, and STEG. On the evening of September 29, 2008, many attendees joined for the MOST networking event in Stuttgart. At 19.00 Harald Schöpp, Member of the MOST Cooperation Steering Committee, inaugurated the MOST Forum. During the dinner they had the chance to meet influential people from the automotive electronics industry. The MOST Cooperation supported the MOST Forum as knowledge partner to help their member companies further disseminate the knowledge learned in over 10 years of intensive work. The media partners as well as industry partner ZVEI (Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers- Association) were contributing their expertise and technology know-how.
