MILPITAS, CA — (Marketwire) — 12/27/11 — (NASDAQ: ISIL) announced today it will hold its annual Intersil Engineering Conference (IEC) January 24-25, 2012 at their Milpitas, California headquarters with NVIDIA President and Chief Executive Officer Jen-Hsun Huang as keynote speaker.
The conference, held annually since 2007, allows Intersil engineers to share knowledge, best practices and technology breakthroughs. The IEC helps Intersil foster communication and collaboration within the company-s engineering community by bringing together Intersil engineers from around the world for face-to-face meetings. The 2012 IEC will provide the Intersil technical community with presentations and papers on a variety of engineering-related topics.
Jen-Hsun Huang co-founded NVIDIA in 1993 and has served since its inception as president, chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors. Under his leadership, NVIDIA invented the graphics processing unit (GPU) in 1999. Since then, it has set new standards in visual computing with interactive graphics available on devices ranging from tablets and smartphones to notebooks and workstations.
