Utility firm looks to work management solution to improve business agility and cut costs
London, 12 October 2017 – Clarizen, the global leader in collaborative work management software, today announced that ENGIE IT, the IT service centre of the ENGIE group, the world’s leading supplier of energy-efficient services, has chosen its cloud-based platform to help the utility company’s IT teams reduce time wasted on manual tasks, drive efficiency and improve flexibility – all while reducing costs.
“Our previous portfolio and project management (PPM) software was costly to maintain and configure, and lacked the flexibility our IT teams needed,” says Joeri Pavlovic, Director Projects & Programs, ENGIE IT. “We evaluated 12 PPM software solutions and came to the conclusion that Clarizen would work best for us, because it was cost effective and the most flexible – agile enough to fit all our needs.”
Prior to deploying Clarizen, the PPM software that ENGIE IT’s teams used required them to conduct manual tasks to effect minor project and portfolio changes, wasting staff time and hampering overall efficiency.
Pavlovic says Clarizen provides ENGIE IT’s teams with a better way to manage its application and infrastructure projects by providing information that is updated in real-time, along with more effective budget management and enhanced visibility across its portfolio. It also offers intuitive and streamlined screens, views and overall ergonomic user experience – as well as the flexibility to make rapid changes to workflows and configurations without causing delays or disruption.
“Clarizen is already being implemented,” notes Pavlovic. “We’ve been particularly impressed by how fluid Clarizen is making the transition from our previous PPM software – meaning our teams are able to continue their day-to-day operations, during the implementation phase, undisturbed.”
David Goulden, Product Director at Clarizen, adds: “Like all global leaders, ENGIE is always looking for ways to become more business agile and it is clear that one of the best ways to achieve this is by employing a cloud-based work collaboration platform to ensure teams have a better way of managing their workflow. For firms operating across a global marketplace, we are seeing increasing demand for a work management software that transcends location and time-zones, while empowering employees to use their time more effectively by streamlining workflow.”
ENGIE IT is the IT service centre of ENGIE. ENGIE is a global energy player and an expert operator in the three businesses of electricity, natural gas and energy services. The Group develops its businesses around a model based on responsible growth to take on the major challenges of energy’s transition to a low-carbon economy: access to sustainable energy, climate-change mitigation and adaptation, security of supply and the rational use of resources.
