London and Madrid, July 19, 2016 – Cellwize today announced that the Telefonica Group has chosen Cellwize’s Self Organizing Network (SON) solution to enhance the customer experience for over 70 million Telefonica subscribers in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Cellwize supports network complexity reduction and resource utilization maximization through its fully automated SON solutions, built to address the new requirements of the mobile customer journey. Cellwize’s SON solution enables mobile operators to enhance the customer experience and achieve more cost effective operations.
Telefonica Group selected Cellwize for its South American networks based on the ongoing deployments of Cellwize’s solutions at some of its main operating businesses, including Vivo (Telefonica Brazil), Telefonica Germany’s Eplus-O2 consolidated network and Telefonica 02 UK.
The Cellwize SON solution is seamlessly deployed across Telefonica’s multi-vendor infrastructure and multiple network technologies. The South American deployment is provided in partnership with Bwtech, a regional system integrator specializing in the development and integration of RAN solutions.
