LOS ANGELES, CA — (Marketwired) — 06/28/16 — Giant Media, the superior video advertising company, today announced the opening of its second Midwest sales office. Answering strong demand for its outstream video offering, Giant Media has physically expanded into Chicago, opening its fourth U.S. sales office in one of the largest ad markets in the country.
“As outstream video advertising quickly becomes a fundamental strategy for agencies and brands, Giant Media is taking steps to grow our physical presence across major markets and bolster our leadership position in the industry,” John Cobb, CEO of Giant Media said.
Giant Media Chicago, which unofficially opened earlier this year, will operate out of downtown Chicago and joins existing Giant Media sales office locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Kansas City.
“Our new sales office in Chicago allows us to further strengthen our video advertising relationships at the agency and brand level in one of the most active advertising markets in the country further deepening Giant–s Midwest roots,” Spencer Janis, vice president of sales, North America said.
Giant tapped advertising veteran Lindsay Stout as its first account executive based in Chicago. Stout has spent her career in the publishing and advertising industry, in and around Chicago, most recently as an account executive at Time, Inc. Stout is focusing her efforts on selling Giant–s outstream advertising capabilities to Fortune 500 brands and creative agencies in Midwest cities such as Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, St. Louis and Detroit.
“I–m excited to introduce Giant Media–s premium video distribution and data-centered approach to this market, as well as develop new relationships with those who can really benefit from our reach and scale,” Stout said. “The pent-up demand for a better user experience in video advertising has been building, and now with a local presence, we can serve more brand advertisers with our outstream solution.”
The Greater Chicago Area boasts some of the top agencies in the U.S., like Spark, Starcom Mediavest, Mindshare, and OMG. According to Fortune (2015), it is also home to 31 Fortune 500 brands including substantial advertisers such as Walgreens, Kraft Food Group, Abbott Labs, and McDonald–s.
“Although we–ve worked with a variety of Chicago-based agencies and brands over the years, with the significant rise in demand for outstream and native as a core advertising strategy, it just made sense to take this next step,” Janis said.
