SAN MATEO, CA — (Marketwired) — 06/22/16 — , a global leader in deception-based cyber security, announced today that it has successfully integrated its DeceptionGrid technology with Cisco–s Identity Services Engine (ISE) Platform Exchange Grid (pxGrid) and Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) ThreatGRID. The integration enables TrapX to provide actionable threat intelligence and initiate activity throughout Cisco–s security platforms, offering customers early detection capabilities for advanced threats, zero-day attacks and other sophisticated malware, as well as the ability to isolate compromised assets and rapidly and effectively shut down attacks in near real-time.
TrapX–s DeceptionGrid provides adaptive deception and defense for Global 2000 enterprises with automated camouflaged malware traps that are intermingled with and appear identical to real information technology resources in the user–s environment, including servers, workstations, specialized devices including IoT and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) devices. Sophisticated malware that has bypassed traditional security defenses often continues to move laterally throughout the network to find high-value targets. Once the malware touches a DeceptionGrid trap, it sets off a high-confidence alert. TrapX is then able to capture stealthy, advanced malware in its network of next-generation malware traps early in an attack campaign and provide high-fidelity visibility before attackers can steal or cause serious damage to customers– data.
“TrapX–s integration with Cisco–s PxGrid and ThreatGrid provides a new set of options that expand and strengthen security capabilities for our joint global customers looking to combat and defeat sophisticated threats that have already breached the perimeter and are moving around the network in search of valuable assets,” said Greg Enriquez, CEO of TrapX Security. “This integration brings DeceptionGrid–s threat intelligence capabilities to Cisco–s expansive customer base, allowing users to quickly detect, divert and defeat threats in real time and then resume normal operations before attackers can steal critical data or disrupt operations.”
Cisco ISE is a next-generation secure policy management platform that automates and enforces context-aware security access to network resources. Cisco pxGrid is a messaging fabric that enables multivendor, cross-platform network system collaboration among parts of the IT infrastructure such as security monitoring and detection systems, network policy platforms, asset and configuration management, identity and access management platforms, and any other IT operation platform. Cisco ISE uses pxGrid technology to share contextual data with integrated technology partner solutions, accelerating identification, mitigation and remediation of security threats across an extended network.
Cisco AMP ThreatGrid is a unified malware and threat analysis platform that provides context-driven analytics to accurately identify attacks in near real time, analyzing millions of files and correlating them against hundreds of millions of other malware artifacts to give customers a global view of threats in their security environment.
TrapX will also conduct demos of its DeceptionGrid solution and its integration with Cisco–s PxGrid and ThreatGrid at 4:45 p.m. July 12th at Kiosk 53 in the Cisco Security Partner Village at Cisco Live 2016.
