EDMONTON, ALBERTA — (Marketwired) — 02/25/16 — Visionstate Corp. (TSX VENTURE: VIS), a software development company specializing in smart devices for public spaces, today announced several important sales and business developments. The Company–s proprietary WANDA (Washroom Attendant Notification Digital Aid) is a smart devise that replaces antiquated paper-based tracking of restroom cleaning, supplies and maintenance.
“Interest in WANDA continues to grow in North America and internationally,” said John Putters, Visionstate–s CEO. “We refocused our business and it–s now paying off. To date, Visionstate has over 100 WANDA devices installed in 32 locations throughout North America including hospitals, shopping centres and airports. In January 2016, Visionstate shipped WANDA demo units to a reseller in the U.K., and to Compass Global–s European division, Eurest Services, in Denmark. We–ve already exceeded our Q1 2016 sales targets and we see the momentum continuing.”
Edmonton International Airport
In June 2015, Visionstate undertook a pilot project with Edmonton International Airport (EIA) to test WANDA inside its busiest washrooms. The pilot project demonstrated the value of WANDA in providing real time data on cleaning activities and public alerts. By September, EIA purchased, not just the WANDA pilot units, but additional ones, as well. EIA project results have been shared with other top international airports by both Visionstate and its North American resellers. Interest in WANDA is particularly strong given the increasing focus on smart devices and analytics.
Simon Property Group
In August 2015, Visionstate sold six WANDA units to a large US shopping centre developer, Simon Property Group. WANDA was installed at the company–s head office, as well as two of the company–s premier locations, including King of Prussia mall in Pennsylvania. Data generated as a result of this installation is currently being analyzed to assess the value of WANDA in the shopping centre environment.
Crothall Healthcare
In the first quarter of fiscal 2016, Visionstate sold 12 WANDA units to Crothall Healthcare for installation in hospitals and extended care facilities in Vancouver, BC. Additionally, Crothall Healthcare–s U.S. division installed four WANDA devices in two hospital locations, including Calvert Memorial Hospital in Maryland and Our Lady of the Lake in Louisiana.
