“Nonprofits work so hard to serve their missions. We wanted to make it easier for more New Yorkers to discover and support them,” says Jason Rosado, CEO of Givkwik, which also produced the first-ever premier, live NYC event for Giving Tuesday in 2014.
Held in a salon-style format, GIV.NYC 2015 will facilitate discovery and dialogue across the private, public and nonprofit sectors to inspire support and charitable giving, as part of the broader Giving Tuesday celebration.
“At Impact Hub NYC, we believe that our values should speak through everything we do, the way we work, and the products we buy,” says Sam Utne, Managing Director of Impact Hub NYC. “Giving money is a powerful tool to focus on what we care about most. We can –believe– in a lot of things, but when we only have $20 to give, we are forced to refine our values and be more strategic in our philanthropy.”
