WILSONVILLE, OR — (Marketwired) — 10/05/15 — FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) today announced the release of two test & measurement instruments featuring FLIR–s exclusive Infrared Guided Measurement (IGM) technology, the CM174 Imaging Clamp Meter and the MR176 Imaging Moisture Meter Plus. Powered by FLIR–s LeptonĀ® thermal camera core, both instruments help professionals quickly locate hidden problems by visualizing temperature differences.
The new CM174 is the world–s first all-in-one electrical clamp meter equipped with a built-in thermal imager. Designed for electrical professionals, the CM174 is the only clamp meter that visually identifies temperature anomalies before they become a major problem. When facing cluttered wires or scanning complex panels for hazards, IGM guides users without requiring any direct contact with the test site, increasing user safety. The CM174 verifies findings with advanced contact measurement features to help solve the most complex electrical issues. IGM is also vital for post-repair checks to ensure problem areas have been addressed.
The MR176 Imaging Moisture Meter Plus is a premium meter equipped with IGM that locates potential moisture issues visually through a thermal image. Designed for moisture restoration and remediation, the MR176 provides an advanced solution for professionals who require additional flexibility and more details from their meter readings, including four color imaging modes, customizable readings, and a field-replaceable temperature/relative humidity sensor. The MR176–s portable, durable design and intuitive menu system allows professionals to get more work done in less time.
“The addition of the CM174 and the MR176 to FLIR–s Test & Measurement product line represents the latest instruments that uniquely leverage our Lepton thermal camera core to create highly differentiated and exceptionally useful tools,” said Andy Teich, President and CEO of FLIR. “We will continue to grow our Instruments segment–s Test & Measurement line using both Lepton and IGM technology to create products that help industry professionals target and resolve problems faster and easier than ever.”
The FLIR CM174 and the MR176 will be available beginning mid-November through FLIR distributors. Learn more about the CM174 and the MR176 at .
