For the fact that the German economy is expanding, among others one company feels it has been actively contributing for half a century, namely Willenbrock Fördertechnik Holding GmbH. The exclusive distributor of Linde Material Handling, a premium manufacturer in the field of conveyor technique, provides services in intra logistics and offers its customers the whole range of solutions for forklift truck and warehouse equipment fleets. Its core business is the sale and rental of new and used trucks and working platforms as well as service and spare parts supply.
Currently the medium-sized company has 565 employees at seven locations, including more than 50 trainees. At the end of 2013, for the second year in a row, Willenbrock was awarded with “TOP JOB”, a prize for the top 100 mid-sized employers in Germany.
One of the four subsidiaries of the Willenbrock Group is the Willenbrock Fördertechnik GmbH & Co.KG established in Bremen. For the efficient management of their fleet of 400 vehicles it is using the innovative fleet management software comm.fleet. The company especially appreciates the outstanding features of the electronic vehicle record, which make it possible to assemble together in electronic form the entire history of a vehicle in a very short time.
The often-cited “paperless office” that is much strived for, but rarely achieved, is already a reality with comm.fleet. The electronic vehicle record masters challenging tasks. It is the key to a better information management and a more efficient administration and thus optimises the business processes in the fleet management. Employees at various locations can edit the electronic record of a vehicle and insert any piece of information straight in the right place, which is then available also to every user based on their access rights. This continuous, non-redundant information management ensures that all employees are provided at all time with up-to-date information.
In addition, the archive function of comm.fleet enables a perfect document management of all vehicle documents. Regardless if the document is scanned or in any other format, all documents can be linked to the electronic vehicle record and are stored in a database. Naturally these files can be opened and edited with their native program at any time.
“The combination of an electronic archive and a document management system ensures a rapid delivery of information and thus increases the efficiency of the management of our fleet,” emphasizes Anrica Hinrichs, fleet manager at Willenbrock Fördertechnik GmbH & Co.KG.
