Earned Value Management (EVM) Workshop Webinar

BREA, CA — (Marketwired) — 09/07/15 — Management Technologies is conducting their three-session Earned Value Experience webinar series beginning October 27. The webinar and workshop provides attendees a complete understanding of the principles and application of earned value management and associated methods for the analysis of project cost and schedule performance. This workshop is ideal for preparing control account managers, project managers, and project control staff for EIA 748 compliant EVM application and general EVM use.

According to company president Ray W. Stratton, PMP, EVP, “By using our MS excel templates and our project scenario attendees are able to experience creating an EVM performance measurement baseline (PMB) and then see how their planning affects EVM data as the project executes.”

The Earned Value Experience webinar consists of three four-hour webinars conducted over a three week period. The first two sessions close with assigned work using the EVM Excel templates for discussion at the next session.

The workshop includes the selection and use of common earned value techniques, development of the PMB, recording project progress in EVM terms (EV), and associated costs (AC). Analysis of EVM data provides examples of cost and schedule variance, cost and schedule performance indices, earned schedule and SPI (t), to-complete performance indices (TCPI), estimates at complete (EAC), and estimated completion date (ECD).

Attendees also receive an EzEVM Excel workbook template that can be used to implement EVM and provide all the analysis and charting discussed during the webinar. Fourteen category B PMI PDUs are available and are guaranteed by Management Technologies or a full refund is given ().

The Earned Value Experience workshop seminar series is conducted approximately three times per year. The next public webinar series will be held 10/27, 11/3, and 11/10.
