QuickLogic–s ArcticLink III BX Chosen by Lenovo

SUNNYVALE, CA — (Marketwired) — 08/06/15 — QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK), the innovator of ultra-low power programmable sensor processing solutions, today announced that its ArcticLink® III BX display bridge solution platform has been chosen by Lenovo to enable display bridging in its new C1 wearable. The company recently introduced this set of smart glasses as part of its “NBC” or “New Bench” platform designed to make internet-connected devices more interoperable.

The ArcticLink III BX CSSP solution met Lenovo–s requirements of extremely low power consumption, small 4.5 x 4.5mm package size, cost effectiveness, and ease-of-integration. The ArcticLink III BX solution bridges a MIPI-DSI display interface from an on-board processor to the RGB display used to present the smart glass images to the wearer.

“QuickLogic–s ArcticLink III family continues to be designed into a wide range of new and interesting applications. As an integral part of the design of the Lenovo C1 wearable, the ArcticLink III provides a proven display bridging solution,” said Brian Faith, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at QuickLogic.

The ArcticLink III BX CSSP solution is available now and the Lenovo C1 wearable is expected to begin shipping in the third quarter of this year.
