TACOMA, WA — (Marketwired) — 06/23/15 — , the source for clear cyberthreat intelligence, today announced that the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) has reappointed IID President and CTO Rod Rasmussen to its (CSRIC). Established in 2009, the Federal Advisory Committee provides recommendations to the FCC regarding best practices and actions it can take to ensure the security, reliability and interoperability of communications systems.
Appointees to the council span the public and private sector. They include from a wide range of government agencies and telecom and broadcasting organizations like AT&T, CBS Corporation, CenturyLink, Comcast Cable, Cox Communications, DirecTV, Sprint Corporation, T-Mobile USA, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Transportation/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the U.S. Department of Treasury, Verizon Communications and more. This is Rasmussen–s third term with FCC CSRIC. The term lasts two years.
