Each organization was recognized Feb. 10th during the annual awards keynote. Paciolan is a subsidiary of the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor.
Paciolan executives Kim Damron, Senior Vice President of Operations, and Steve Demots, Senior Vice President of Sales, announced Georgia Tech, Long Center for the Performing Arts (Long Center) and CapitalTickets as recipients of the 2014 Star of the Year Awards. Georgia Tech, Long Center and CapitalTickets were each acknowledged for their industry-leading innovations that have led to each organization achieving uncommon results by improving the customer experience, as well as overall success in ticketing, marketing and fundraising leveraging Paciolan–s solutions.

Acknowledged as the Star of the Year award winner from performing arts, the Long Center was recognized for their continued excellence in ticketing, fundraising and marketing. The Austin-based performing arts center has enhanced the customer experience through integrated ticketing and fundraising to improve organizational strategy and better understand patrons via real-time data. The Long Center also implemented a new on-sale strategy to better target prospective buyers and increase efficiency of their marketing efforts, increased sponsorship donation revenue by over $100,000, moved to responsive design for their mobile website and email communications, and leveraged the entire suite of Paciolan–s marketing services to engage with its patrons.
CapitalTickets was recognized as the Star of the Year for the pro sports, arenas and ticket partner genre as the organization brought in new business throughout the past year and enhanced the customer experience at its existing venues. CapitalTickets implemented a new venue, TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario with three tenant teams (Ottawa REDBLACKS, Ottawa Fury and Ottawa 67–s), which leverage marketing automation technology, mobile delivery, and online pick your own seat maps for the venue. For their existing partners, the Ottawa Senators and Canadian Tire Centre, CapitalTickets led the expansion of their loaded value ticket program via Givex to provide branded gift cards to Senators season ticket holders with credit for merchandise, concessions and ticket purchases. Additionally, CapitalTickets helped launch a new pick your own seat map for both the Senators and concerts at the Canadian Tire Centre and revamped the “My Sens Account” page to provide resources and account management options for season ticket holders.
Georgia Tech was presented with the college athletics Star of the Year award and recognized for their efforts as an early adopter of new services, technologies and strategies, including online season ticket renewals, digital and mobile ticketing. Additionally, Georgia Tech deployed customized email campaigns through FanOne Marketing–s Marketing Automation solutions in conjunction with Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, partnered with Experience to digitally deliver customizable behind-the-scenes gameday experiences, and leveraged the PAC Social platform to enrich fan engagement.
At PACnet –15, Paciolan introduced its inaugural Founder–s Award, recognizing significant strides and remarkable change achieved in a single year. The University of Memphis (Memphis) was acknowledged as the inaugural winner of the Founder–s Award, presented by Paciolan Founder Jane Kleinberger.
Under new senior leadership led by Athletic Director Tom Bowen, Memphis underwent radical change and implemented new initiatives in all areas of ticketing, marketing and fundraising simultaneously. Memphis implemented a full spectrum of new Paciolan products and services, improving overall service, sales and efficiency across all functional areas. Through this executive strategy, Memphis revamped their eCommerce website and added a mobile eCommerce site (doubling their online sales, with 18% sold via mobile), implemented digital ticketing, mobile delivery, online renewal applications for fans, online donations and customized online giving website, and Paciolan marketing solutions PACmail and display ad retargeting.
