Visual Intelligence startup Trace Live Network Inc. (“TRACE”) – creator of live streaming content platform TRACE Live Network – and leading chat platform, Frankly Inc. (TSX VENTURE: TLK) (“Frankly”) announced today the entering of an agreement to integrate Frankly–s next generation messaging and chat technology into the TRACE Live Network. The Frankly integration will power interactive chat over all live-streamed and aggregated content accessible on TRACE.com.
Frankly Chat is one of the fastest growing mobile messaging apps in the market with over two million downloads. With the integration of sophisticated chat functionality through the newly released Frankly SDK, TRACE users will be able to interact with each other in real-time while viewing live-streamed content. By providing content creators the ability to live-chat directly with viewers at any moment, the TRACE Live Network continues to deliver on its promise to create a social-entertainment platform that allows its users to be truly in the moment.
Although action related content for the TRACE platform will be aggregated from various global portals, live footage will be streamed from all TRACEr1 enabled devices.
The TRACEr1 represents an entirely new product category. Using proprietary video-as-a-sensor technology, the TRACEr1 visually intelligent camera is able to “click-in” and “click-out” of – and control – several accessory vehicles designed to suit every user environment. With required positioning and streaming preferences able to be selected within the TRACE app, all enabled vehicles will lock onto a non-natural pattern worn by the user (i.e. a logo, code, or color sample) and carry out autonomous video capture, live-streaming the captured footage to TRACE.com.
TRACE CEO Cameron Chell said of the agreement, “The TRACE Live Network is about enabling people to be in the their greatest moments and seamlessly sharing those moments with others. Giving viewers the ability to connect and communicate in real-time while being immersed in this streaming footage from across the globe is a very exciting prospect.”
Frankly founder and CEO Steve Chung offered, “Frankly–s mission is to bring every user closer to their interests by unlocking the power of messaging on any platform. By partnering with TRACE, we are adding the ability for fans and broadcasters to share and engage with one another about experiences that matter most to them.”
The TRACEr1 will be officially unveiled in January at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and is expected to see retail availability in Q4 2015.
TRACE Live Network is a venture created by the (BIG).
