LockPath Delivers Stronger Enterprise Security

OVERLAND PARK, KS — (Marketwired) — 12/16/13 — , a leading provider of innovative governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) solutions, today announced a new integration between LockPath-s Keylight platform and (ESM), a security information and event management (SIEM) solution. In combination with their existing McAfee Vulnerability Manager (MVM) integration, customers now have additional intelligence to detect, correlate, and remediate threats.

“Organizations need a complete view of their security landscape in order to manage and respond to today-s growing security risks in real time,” said Chris Goodwin, chief technology officer of LockPath. “McAfee offers one of the most comprehensive enterprise security solutions on the market, and we-re pleased to bring these added capabilities to LockPath customers.”

McAfee ESM mines security logs and links critical events together. Through this new integration, McAfee ESM data can be combined in context with McAfee MVM data as well as the compliance, risk and other security data in Keylight. For example, an incident from McAfee ESM can be correlated with a vulnerability from McAfee MVM as well as the assets, risk score, relevant policies and controls. A complete picture can now be presented to the investigator in the Keylight console. Additionally, more accurate and relevant intelligence is available for enterprise risk assessments and internal audits.

Keylight-s Incident Manager provides a configurable interface to record incident data from McAfee ESM, LockPath-s Anonymous Incident Portal and other sources. Each incident is managed by a flexible workflow to ensure thorough investigation and resolution. An incident is automatically correlated with the asset record to provide more perspective on the existing risks to include vulnerabilities from McAfee MVM and other relevant information. With Keylight-s reporting, it becomes possible to view existing security posture, incident and asset trends, workflow performance and other KPIs.

Connecting Keylight with other sources of security data enhances organizations- overall security and risk visibility. The additional context can spur rapid new insights and enable companies to more effectively investigate threats and incidents, while helping them track software and hardware assets throughout the IT environment.

“We look forward to collaborating with LockPath to help our joint customer base and help them better respond with new insights into security risks,” said Ed Barry, vice president of the Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee. “By integrating SIEM data with other assets such as policies and risk profiles, organizations gain a much more comprehensive view of their overall enterprise security landscape and can more effectively respond to threats.”

The McAfee ESM integration is available now for on-premise or hybrid cloud/on-premise delivery. To learn more, please visit .
