HACKETT-S COVE, NOVA SCOTIA — (Marketwired) — 11/27/13 — Kevin Rodgers, Chair of Nautel Capital Corporation Inc., the parent company of Nautel Limited (“Nautel”), announced today that Nautel has entered into a binding agreement to acquire the business and assets of Marport C-tech Limited (“C-Tech”) subject to court approval. C-Tech is a Cornwall, Ontario based manufacturer of engineered sonar solutions.

C-Tech commenced operations in 1969, the same year that Nautel was founded. Over its four decades of operation, C-Tech has evolved into a world leader in the design, development and manufacturing of sonar systems for international defence and non-defence customers.

C-Tech will continue to operate in Cornwall, Ontario under the leadership of Dennis Derouin and his local team with the support and stewardship of Nautel. The business is expected to have an initial workforce of approximately 30 full time and contract employees.
Financial details of the transaction are not being disclosed.
