SAN RAMON, CA — (Marketwired) — 11/14/13 — Avatier Corp., the leader in providing risk-aware identity management software, has launched its own contribution and awareness campaign around relief to victims of the Philippine Super Typhoon devastation.
Super Typhoon Haiyan is the one of the largest storms in recorded history with wind speeds of 190 mph. The storm was over 500 miles wide. Of the 41,176 homes damaged, 51 percent were completely destroyed. More than 670,000 people have been displaced by the storm and nearly 12 percent of the population directly affected, reported the United Nations.
“The devastation is unimaginable. So many people are impacted we want to do something to help the victims,” commented Nelson Cicchitto, Chairman and CEO of Avatier, “But we wanted our contribution to be increased ten fold by challenging other Silicon Valley software firms to join us in the contribution efforts and gift to American Red Cross Typhoon Appeal.”
