The four finalists are:
“This year-s finalists represent exactly why Atlanta is the nation-s health IT capital,” says David Hartnett, Vice President of Economic Development, Bioscience-Health IT, at the Metro Atlanta Chamber, a founding partner of the Summit. “Each of these companies represents the kind of leading-edge technology and innovation that is propelling health IT forward, both in Atlanta and across the globe. We are so proud of these companies and very pleased they have received this prestigious recognition.”
“Georgia is at the forefront of consumer digital health, with more than 225 health IT companies based in the state,” says Tino Mantella, President and CEO of the Technology Association of Georgia, also a founding partner of the Summit through its Health Society. “TAG congratulates this year-s Intel Innovation Award finalists. These companies exemplify the level of success and innovation that can be found throughout our technology sector.”
The impact of innovation on healthcare continues to be a cornerstone of the Summit, which will focus on the topic not only through the Intel Innovation Award, but also through a student award for health IT innovation and a panel discussion on “Disruptive Technologies in Healthcare.” This session will review innovative technologies in different industries, and consider how they may be applicable to healthcare in terms of fulfilling Healthcare Reform Act requirements. Panelists will review new forms of technology that will change how care is being delivered to patients, reducing costs and improving patient outcomes.
Founded by TAG Health — a society of the Technology Association of Georgia, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Bioscience-Health IT Leaders Council, the Health IT Leadership Summit is held annually in Atlanta, the nation-s health IT capital, and continues to rank as one of the nation-s premier health IT events.
