Chaiken and Vengco will be featured speakers on learning to leverage social networking and user experience optimization tools to drive patient-centered clinical workflow. The presentation will explore current trends in the use of social networking tools, best practices in user experience maximization, the impact of social networking tools on clinical workflows, and develop ways to leverage social networks to drive efficiency in clinical workflow.

“The CHIME organization is very fortunate to have healthcare-s most innovative and renowned CIOs and industry professionals from across the country converging in Scottsdale to educate and reinvigorate their peers,” said Keith Fraidenburg, CHIME vice president for education and communications. “For the past 20 years, CHIME has worked diligently to advance the role of healthcare CIO and advocate the effective use of information technology to improve healthcare in the communities they serve. The track sessions at the Fall CIO Forum allow key stakeholders of the healthcare IT industry to hear real-world instances and case studies on strategy and leadership, performance improvement, care transformation, and emerging issues.”

The session will take place on Wednesday, October 9, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PST.

“An entire generation of caregivers now thinks about and utilizes information technology tools in ways unthinkable even ten years ago, so practitioners and technology providers need to keep pace with this shift,” said Dr. Barry Chaiken, CMIO, Infor. “The availability of these new technologies, and more importantly how these technologies can be used in healthcare, asks the question of what is a best practice for leveraging these new tools and can these new tools be the new era of a patient-centric record — a topic we-ll deeply explore at this year-s CHIME13 Fall CIO Forum.”
