LAS VEGAS, NV — (Marketwired) — 09/10/13 — The Gaming Standards Association (GSA) is celebrating 15 years of global collaboration and standards development for the gaming industry. Now GSA is bringing its vision for a brighter future to G2E 2013. GSA is a Corporate Partner of Reed Exhibitions for G2E and will be in booth #4103.
GSA standards have been successfully adopted in the industry and in jurisdictions worldwide. From slot designers to system architects to lottery directors, the adoption of GSA-s standards has helped speed supplier time to market, bolster operator capabilities with interoperable devices and systems, and further assure regulators with testing and certification.
In 2013, GSA announced its five-year plan to usher in wide-spread adoption of standards, the launch of its Online Gaming Committee (OGC), the development of the Compliance Verification Tool, or CVT and the recent graduation of the first class of engineers trained to GSA standards at the Macao Polytechnic Institute early this summer. G2E attendees are encouraged visit GSA-s booth for an update on these developments.
Additionally, GSA will play a key role in the G2E Conference. First, GSA will present the topic, “Global Adoption of GSA Standards” on Tuesday, September 24, at 2:00 in Titian 2204. In this session, GSA and suppliers will present the current state of GSA standards adoption in their regions, and will point an eye to the future of standards in the land-based and online gaming arenas. Immediately following in the same room, GSA will present the topic “CVT: The Industry Tool to Improve Interoperability for G2S.”
GSA will also hold its annual meeting during G2E, on Wednesday, September 25 at 1:00 p.m. in room 201 in the Sands Convention Center. Keynoting the event are Gerhard Köhle, Senior Management Consultant, Federal Computing Centre Austria and Martin Zigler, Project Manager IT, Ministry of Finance Austria. The meeting is free and open to the public, and advanced registration is required. Visit for registration and information.
GSA membership has many benefits, and there is a level of membership to meet any organization-s size, budget and business goals. GSA representatives can help you decide which level is best for you.
