BOULDER, CO and HORSENS, DENMARK — (Marketwired) — 09/03/13 — (“Spectralink”), a global leader in wireless solutions for the workplace, is unifying its product offering and renaming its DECT product line.
Previously known as the KIRK product line, the portfolio will be renamed the . This will position the successful DECT product suite consistently with the wider Spectralink portfolio, including the Spectralink 6000 (900 MHz), and 8000 (Wi-Fi) Portfolios, which will also have minor product name changes to maintain consistency.
Following its divestiture from Polycom in 2012, Spectralink is fully committed to leading the market with innovative products, services and solutions across its Wi-Fi, DECT and 900MHz product lines. The company is uniting its products under one brand identity to better position the company for future growth, diversification and expansion.
“In order to grow the company at the pace we have in mind, we decided we needed one unitary brand to build awareness. This will support our ambitious plans for expansion and diversification over the coming years,” said Sten Dyrmose, CEO at Spectralink.
“Our decision was backed up by feedback from customers and market research, which reassured us that this move will simplify the buying process and further build customer loyalty. We have a strong history of innovation and a vision to be recognized as the leading provider of in-building wireless solutions, so we will continue to support and invest in our DECT product line, and the broader portfolio,” he added.
The Spectralink Portfolio is the only in-building wireless solution to be Microsoft® Lync qualified available today. This will remain valid after the renaming, and support for existing KIRK product lines will continue unaffected. This, and all other existing KIRK products and solutions, will continue to be sold and supported as before, unaffected by the name change.
As part of its commitment to ongoing innovation, Spectralink continues to support its customers with regular updates to the DECT product line. In the past few months it has introduced two new DECT Servers (Spectralink IP-DECT Server 400 and Spectralink IP-DECT Server 6500) and has now introduced a new Spectralink IP-DECT Base Station.
