The international airport at Dubai is constantly being modernized and expanded to offer better facilities for passengers and the latest works is to provide a transportation system between terminals one and four.
Before the new structures could go up work had to go down and the contractor Balfour Beatty chose to use the expertise of NUB Engineering Ltd. to manufacture the specialist drilling tools needed to drill for the piled foundations.
The new transportation system for passengers between terminals one and four are mainly used by international travelers and the Directors and staff of NUB are pleased to be part of the company to help said the Managing Director Peter Jantz.
The foundations are being constructed under bentonite using conventional rotary drilling techniques with drilling bucket ranging in diameters from 1500mm to 2100mm which were all manufactured at the NUB works in Motherwell Scotland before being shipped to the job site.
