TUCSON, AZ — (Marketwired) — 08/01/13 — AudioEye®, Inc. (OTCQB: AEYE), creator of the Audio Internet patented audio browsing and automated publishing technology platform, today announced that it has launched the Rally Point AZ mobile application, in partnership with La Frontera Arizona. The new mobile app is designed to put Tucson veterans in direct contact with La Frontera personnel to receive assistance with issues related to mental health, substance abuse and crisis situations, and to access current information on housing and job opportunities. Rally Point AZ also includes a language preference feature for Spanish-speaking users, and an AudioEye-enabled version of the app allows users to have content read to them by a fellow veteran. Using AudioEye-s technology, veterans can hear and experience content in a mobile, hands-free, and vision-free environment.
State Senator David Bradley, a Navy Veteran, licensed counselor and Chief Development Officer at La Frontera Arizona, stated, “This is one of La Frontera-s initiatives to integrate mobile technologies with proven behavioral health intervention. As our Rally Point AZ application becomes more sophisticated it will include assessment, treatment and counseling services.”
“We believe the new mobile app will help us expand our reach and be more effective in serving Tucson area vets and their families,” noted Dan Ranieri, President and Chief Executive Officer of La Frontera Arizona. “The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have taken a dramatic toll on the lives and health of military service members and their families throughout the country. Tucson is no exception. La Frontera Arizona is committed to working with its community partners to ensure that every veteran in the Tucson area has access to critical mental health, substance abuse and crisis counseling, and to good housing and job opportunities. Communicating these vital services for vets effectively is part of our commitment, and this new mobile app with audio capabilities represents an important addition to La Frontera-s expanding community services portfolio.”
According to a survey released Wednesday, July 31, 2013 by NBC news, 30 percent of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans have contemplated suicide. The same report noted that the Veterans Administration is promoting a veteran crisis hotline that has responded to a consistently increasing number of calls. The survey raised concerns by revealing that only 37 percent of the ex-service members polled said they would call the VA-s veteran crisis line — 800-273-TALK (8255) — if they were feeling suicidal. Rally Point Arizona is a mobile application that allows Arizona-s veteran community to access services and behavioral healthcare resources directly.
“We are extremely pleased to partner with the La Frontera team in this effort to reach out and help veterans and their families,” commented Thomas Winkel, MA, LPC, NCC, Executive Director of the Arizona Coalition for Military Families.
“Our AudioEye technology brings voice and a layer of emotion that we will to continue to develop and perfect with La Frontera,” stated Nathaniel Bradley, Chief Executive Officer of Tucson-based AudioEye, Inc. () and the project-s technology development partner.
Rally Point AZ is an initiative of La Frontera Arizona, in partnership with the Arizona Department of Veteran-s Services, the Arizona Coalition for Military Families and Empact-Suicide Prevention Center. The application is available for free download on any Android smartphone at the Google Play Store. Additional information is available at the initiative-s website at
