More than 50 percent of hotel searches currently performed on Hipmunk-s mobile app are by travelers looking for last-minute accommodations. Hipmunk designed Tonight Only to better serve these users and provide them with low-cost options for spur-of-the-moment travel.

With this mobile app update, Hipmunk has also introduced Fare Alerts. Now Hipmunk users can receive updated airfare notifications for the flight itineraries they are watching and quickly book the flight when they like the price. Users will receive Fare Alerts through a push notification or email, and will now be able to edit their mobile and email Fare Alerts though the account settings hub.
