ANAHEIM, CA — (Marketwired) — 07/25/13 — , a leading provider of secure , , and routing products, successfully concluded its inaugural Day of Giving July 18, 2013 to “give back” to the community and help local non-profit organizations.
ZyXEL offered all employees the option to spend half a work day, on July 18th, to volunteer for one of two select charities that included Trails4All and Second Harvest. A number of spouses, family and friends of ZyXEL employees also joined in the activities. The event saw participation of over 80% of ZyXEL employees, while the remaining employees stayed to support our customers during the event.
“ZyXEL-s first Day of Giving was a very exciting experience for us,” said Steve Oberle, event organizer and Vice President Sales, Key Account Business Unit, ZyXEL Americas. “It gave an opportunity to donate our time and energy to helping our community while having fun together.

Second Harvest is an organization dedicated to ending hunger in Orange County. Volunteers typically sort, label, and package food received by Second Harvest Food Bank from manufacturers and food drives. The location is at 8014 Marine Way, Irvine, at the former El Toro military base near the Orange County Great Park.
Trails4All is a non-profit organization dedicated to the creation, restoration and preservation of trails and open space throughout Southern California. They help bring trail users together to make the trails we all enjoy better and more accessible, and to create new trails for everyone to discover. This particular project was clearing brush, trimming back bushes and trees, and assembling outdoor picnic tables on the grounds of Santa Ana-s .
