StillSecure Promotes CTO James D. Brown to CEO

SUPERIOR, CO — (Marketwired) — 06/05/13 — announced today that James D. Brown has been appointed as chief executive officer from his previous position as chief technology officer. Rajat Bhargava, the company-s founder, and former president and CEO, will continue to serve as the company-s chairman.

“James is a strong leader with a passion for technology and a deep understanding of the business. He has been a strategic and valuable member of our executive team and is the best choice for this position as I step back to my Chairman duties,” said Rajat Bhargava, Chairman for StillSecure. “As our CTO, James has been instrumental in identifying new business opportunities and has shown tremendous commitment to assisting our company with long-term growth and innovation. As we look to focus solely on our growing Network Access Control business, I am confident that our company will continue to thrive under James-s leadership.”

In his new role, Brown will look to grow the StillSecure Safe Access® Network Access Control (NAC) business in both commercial and Federal markets. With over 10 years at StillSecure, and more than 20 years within the network security, IT, and telecommunications industries, Brown will drive NAC sales, strategy and operations for the company. His appointment follows the sale of the company-s Managed Security Services business to SilverSky®, the expert cloud provider of messaging and information security solutions. Announced today and effective immediately, StillSecure will focus solely on its significant business within network access control based on its award-winning, flagship product, Safe Access.

“I am excited about the opportunity this position holds and truly believe that it-s the right time for our company to capitalize on the opportunities within the NAC space,” said James D. Brown, CEO of StillSecure. “Our NAC business has been the vehicle upon which we-ve built our brand, our reputation and our significant customer base, and I firmly believe that Safe Access is the best and easiest-to-use NAC product on the market. With BYOD driving the resurgence of NAC, we felt this was the right time to focus all of our energies on Safe Access. I look forward to building on this success and to leading StillSecure in meeting the needs of new industries that could benefit from highly secure networks.”

Used by most major U.S. military branches under the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Safe Access is the only NAC solution that allows users to set compliance policy by Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), and provides the ability to research IAVA details by providing direct linking to the U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) website.
