Brocade Taps Gale England as Vice President of Customer Advocacy and Operational Effectiveness

SAN JOSE, CA — (Marketwired) — 06/04/13 — (NASDAQ: BRCD) today announced the appointment of Gale England to the newly formed position of vice president of Customer Advocacy and Operational Effectiveness effective immediately. In this role, Mr. England is responsible for driving operational efficiencies in the company-s global programs, internal processes, and IT, all with the goal of creating a world-class customer experience. Mr. England will report directly to Brocade CEO, Lloyd Carney.

Specifically, Mr. England is tasked with improving customer advocacy, streamlining internal processes and leveraging IT resources with the goal of better enabling Brocade to deliver world-class products and services to its customers both internal and external to Brocade.

With a career spanning more than 35 years, Mr. England has held leadership roles across numerous departments, including engineering, customer service, operations and executive leadership. At Sonus Networks he served as vice president of Product Operations and was responsible for improving supply chain management, as well as production cycle times. Mr. England has also served in leadership roles at Numetrix Technologies, Realm Technologies, Villamontage Systems, Nortel Networks and Bay Networks.

Prior to joining Brocade, Mr. England was the senior vice president Global Operations and Quality at Grass Valley LLC, where he managed the rollout of services and technologies that improved the company-s manufacturing, ordering, logistics, supply chain and quality processes.
