CHANTILLY, VA — (Marketwired) — 04/17/13 — Audio Video Systems, Inc. (AVS) hosted the grand opening of their new Hawaii office on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. The day featured introductions of AVS- Hawaii based team, an office blessing, technology expo, product learning sessions and tours of the new facility, which provides full service sales, design, integration, installation and technical support to Asia-Pacific Rim customers.
AVS is a privately owned firm that specializes in designing, installing and maintaining audio, video and control facilities for a wide variety of environments, including command and control centers, SCI and video teleconferencing facilities, classrooms, conference and training rooms, auditoriums and more. AVS- staff is comprised of highly experienced personnel that are certified and trained in all audiovisual, video teleconferencing and control system technologies.
AVS company headquarters are located in Chantilly, VA (greater DC area) with offices in Huntsville, AL and now Waipahu, HI (greater Honolulu area). The VA based firm made a decision to start focusing on business in the Asia-Pacific region and in 2011 started making the necessary steps to open an office and have an on-island presence. That is now a reality with the office opening and Hawaii based employees.
The new office will focus on working closely with existing and future clients within the state of Hawaii and the Asia-Pacific region. The company-s expansion into Hawaii was also precipitated by current and previous work the company has undertaken at U.S. Government and Military facilities over the last few years.

AVS is currently working on the design and build of some military facilities in Hawaii and has done other work in the region including the design and build of the U.S. Marine Forces Pacific Command Operations Center, which received the “Best Government AV Project (Federal)” audiovisual (AV) installation award in 2008 by one of the leading industry publications.
AVS is an active member of Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), including a board position in the Hawaii chapter. AVS has participated in several AFCEA Asia Pacific shows, including last fall-s AFCEA TechNet Asia-Pacific in Honolulu, HI and will be participating again this coming December.
AVS- new office is located in Waipahu, HI, convenient to Pearl Harbor, Wheeler and Fort Shafter. The office is approximately 4,000 square feet and contains office and reception space, warehouse and integration work space and a training/conference room that will support meetings, training and technology focused demonstrations by vendors and AVS staff. But most importantly, everything from sales and engineering to integration and support, will operate out of a local office to customers on Oahu and neighboring islands.
