Council Lauds Leaders in eCommerce

SEATTLE, WA — (Marketwire) — 03/12/13 — The Merchant Risk Council (MRC) today announced the winners of the prestigious 2013 Merchant Spotlight Award and the finalists for the coveted METAward. Both awards will be given during MRC-s annual eCommerce Payments and Risk Conference March 26-28 at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

The Merchant Spotlight Award acknowledges online/multi-channel merchants whose creative payments or risk innovations and improved systems have contributed to the commercial and operational success of their own company, which may be replicated in other companies for the betterment of the eCommerce industry. Rosetta Stone, Inc. and thetrainline.com are this year-s recipients of this leading industry award.

Conference attendees will also select the METAward winners, through live voting, from three finalists in the start-up and four finalists in the established company categories, who will present their innovations live on Thursday, March 28. Finalists in the start-up category include Curaxian, Sift Science and Signyfd. The established company category finalists include Accertify, CardinalCommerce, ReD and WorldPay.

Each nomination was evaluated for its innovation, potential for deployment, impact and relevance by a panel of merchants and solutions providers. Nominations for 2014 will open in November.
