MARKHAM, ONTARIO — (Marketwire) — 05/08/12 — VIQ Solutions Inc. (“VIQ”, “VIQ Solutions” or the “Corporation”) (TSX VENTURE: VQS) announced today that they have been awarded a contract for digital audio capture and management by the Courts Administration Service (“CAS”). CAS provides administrative services to the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada and the Tax Court of Canada.
Under the terms of the contract, VIQ will supply CAS with bilingual digital audio recording software and hardware for 48 fixed and mobile recording workstations for the Federal Court and Tax Court of Canada across the country. VIQ-s customizable software interface allows CAS to run the software in English or French depending on the preference of the operator.
VIQ is currently working with CAS to integrate the VIQ recording software with their case management system to further streamline the recording process and provide a common interface for both courts. When completed, all workstations from both court systems will synchronize their recordings to a single server for secure, centralized storage and access on a country-wide level.
